(Un)lucky Number Four

In the Chinese language, many numbers are considered lucky and many are considered unlucky. For example, the word for the number 4 (si) is homophonous with the word for death (si) and is considered unlucky. Can't tell the difference? It's hard for us too...it's all in the tone and how you say it. Nonetheless, because of this, the number 4 is often absent in many places such as elevators, etc.
