Fruit to Boot

The other day we visited a tropical fruit experiment station that was managed by Taiwan's Council of Agriculture. In this facility they were developing new varieties of plants (mostly tropical fruits) that were drought and disease resistant. We were able to sample some of their fine work when they gave us a fruit plate with an orange, guava, and mango slices before taking a tour of their facility. The mango was a new variety that was developed at their experiment station.

  1. Francie, Great pictures! I just returned from visiting my old home in Florida and brought back cans on guava paste and guava jelly. Not many people up here know about it.

The weather remains in the 20s at night and 40-50 during the overcast days. Enjoy the warmth!

Your counterpart team arrives tomorrow. We are looking forward to meeting them and hearing more about your experiences.
