Visit to traditional Hakka House

Hakka were a people who migrated from Mainland China several hundred years ago. They developed a unique culture that the Taiwan Government works to preserve.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Well, I know all the foodies have been looking at the photos of our meals with envy so here is another awesome food photo. We had a terrific dinner with our friends from Kaohsuing Wu Fu & Sunrise Taiwan. One of the dishes was chicken soup. It is a little hard to get used to, but the Taiwanese leave the head on everything. It was delicious BTW. Bon Appetit!

Linya Market

Today I was able to sneak away from the pack for a few moments. A couple members from one of the Taiwanese Rotary clubs took me to a traditional Chinese market called Linya Market. I saw lots of fruits, vegetables, and meats (including the famous black-skinned chicken) that were very fresh and very locally grown. Given our limited time and appetites, the only thing we had time to pick up were a few century eggs.

National Sun Yat-sen University

We visited the National Sun Yat-sen University where we learned a lot about the university setting here in Taiwan. We were treated to a tour of the campus and received very informative knowledge on the school's international business program. We also visited the NSYU area and ate at the Seaview Restaurant. We were hosted by members and friends of the Kaohsiung Chung-Shan, Kaohsiung South and Kaohsiung Good  Morning Clubs. Thanks for a great day!
