In Donggang to visit the FRI. The FRI has done significant work in the salt and fresh water fish industries. They have found migratory shrimp patterns increasing income for shrimp boats by hundreds of millions of dollars. Through selective DNA analysis they have increased the quantity and reduced the time needed to grow farm raised fish like Tilapia. They took us out to some of the fish ponds where we saw some gigantic grouper thst weighed over 100 kilograms each.
